Are you angry or passionate?
It’s easy to confuse passion for anger.
When someone raises their voice in a meeting or gets fired up about an idea, it’s easy to misread it.
To think they’re upset or being difficult.
But more often than not, that intensity isn’t anger, it’s passion.
Passion comes from care.
It comes from believing in something deeply.
And, yes, it can get messy sometimes.
Passion doesn’t always come out polished.
But it’s a signal: this person cares.
Anger burns bridges. Passion builds them.
Anger tears things down. Passion lifts them up.
Passion and purpose are so closely related, they’re almost non-identical twins.
Both, though, move you on in the direction of your dreams.
I want to live a life filled with passion, and purpose.
And I want to be surrounded by people who are passionate too, because it’s contagious in the very best way.
And passion is the fire that drives change.
And the last thing we should do is snuff it out.
