The year is a marathon not a sprint.
Stay in the race.
So, here we are again, the first of January.
Everyone’s revving their engines, eager to start the year with a bang.
The air is heavy with good intentions and daring promises.
But the truth is, this year is a marathon, not a sprint.
You remember the story of the hare and the tortoise?
The hare came out blazing.
A series of quick wins, a big sprint, and then...burnout.
And the tortoise just kept on plodding along.
One steady step at a time.
Most people are waking up today feeling like they need to
do everything this minute.
Go big or go home.
But perhaps the better question is: What’s sustainable?
What’s a pace you can sustain, not only for a week, but over the next 12 months?
On some level, it feels good to start with a bang.
But the real magic is in starting with intention.
It’s not about how much faster you go today.
It’s about staying in the race tomorrow, next week, next month.
So, here’s to a new kind of first day.
One with fewer fireworks and greater emphasis.
Less noise and more clarity.
Let others sprint.
We’ll be here; steady, intentional.
And unstoppable.
